With a few minutes work, you can add a little sparkle to your jeans.
Latch on to a hot trend that's perfect for back to school. You can make these jean trinkets from either broken pieces of vintage jewelry, or you can create all-news items from chain, charms, and beads.
You will need:
At least five inch length chain
2 needle nose pliers
8-10mm Jump Rings
Charms, Beads, and anything else you want to add.
Creating Your Jean Jewelry Chain
Step 1: Clasp Lobster claw into the center of the bracelet.
Step 2: Using needle nose pliers, open link next to where the lobster claw clasp is.
Step 3: Connect link to opposite side of the mini circle your creates in step 2.
Step 4: Attach your charms and beads along the dangling chain.
Some great examples of the types of charm jean jewelry are:
A) For a fabulous Brighton Inspired Jean Jewelry, we used a 7" chain bracelet. We added some depth with red fire polished glass Czech beads. You can make this in red for a bit more pizzazz or keep it subtle. Heart charms also come in other colors. You could even mix and match.
